927 ਇਕ ਓਟ ਕੀਜੈ ਜੀਉ ਦੀਜੈ ਆਸ ਇਕ ਧਰਣੀਧਰੈ ॥ Ik ot keejæ jee▫o ḋeejæ aas ik ḋʰarṇeeḋʰaræ. Seek the Support of the One Lord, and surrender your soul to Him; place your hopes only in the Sustainer of the World. ਸਾਧਸੰਗੇ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮ ਰੰਗੇ ਸੰਸਾਰੁ ਸਾਗਰੁ ਸਭੁ ਤਰੈ ॥ Saaḋʰsangé har naam rangé sansaar saagar sabʰ ṫaræ. Those who are imbued with the Lord’s Name, in the Saadh Sangat, cross over the terrifying world-ocean. ਜਨਮ ਮਰਣ ਬਿਕਾਰ ਛੂਟੇ ਫਿਰਿ ਨ ਲਾਗੈ ਦਾਗੁ ਜੀਉ ॥ Janam maraṇ bikaar chʰooté fir na laagæ ḋaag jee▫o. The corrupting sins of birth and death are eradicated, and no stain ever sticks to them again. ਬਲਿ ਜਾਇ ਨਾਨਕੁ ਪੁਰਖ ਪੂਰਨ ਥਿਰੁ ਜਾ ਕਾ ਸੋਹਾਗੁ ਜੀਉ ॥੩॥ Bal jaa▫é Naanak purakʰ pooran ṫʰir jaa kaa sohaag jee▫o. ||3|| Nanak is a sacrifice to the Perfect Primal Lord; His marriage is eternal. ||3|| ਸਲੋਕੁ ॥ Salok. Shalok: ਧਰਮ ਅਰਥ ਅਰੁ ਕਾਮ ਮੋਖ ਮੁਕਤਿ ਪਦਾਰਥ ਨਾਥ ॥ Ḋʰaram araṫʰ ar kaam mokʰ mukaṫ paḋaaraṫʰ naaṫʰ. Righteous faith, wealth, sexual success and salvation; the Lord bestows these four blessings. ਸਗਲ ਮਨੋਰਥ ਪੂਰਿਆ ਨਾਨਕ ਲਿਖਿਆ ਮਾਥ ॥੧॥ Sagal manoraṫʰ poori▫aa Naanak likʰi▫aa maaṫʰ. ||1|| One who has such preordained destiny upon his forehead, O Nanak! Has all his desires fulfilled. ||1|| ਛੰਤੁ ॥ Chʰanṫ. Chhant: ਸਗਲ ਇਛ ਮੇਰੀ ਪੁੰਨੀਆ ਮਿਲਿਆ ਨਿਰੰਜਨ ਰਾਇ ਜੀਉ ॥ Sagal ichʰ méree punnee▫aa mili▫aa niranjan raa▫é jee▫o. All my desires are fulfilled, meeting with my Immaculate, Sovereign Lord. ਅਨਦੁ ਭਇਆ ਵਡਭਾਗੀਹੋ ਗ੍ਰਿਹਿ ਪ੍ਰਗਟੇ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਆਇ ਜੀਉ ॥ Anaḋ bʰa▫i▫aa vadbʰaageeho garihi pargaté parabʰ aa▫é jee▫o. I am in ecstasy, O very fortunate ones; the Dear Lord has become manifest in my own home. ਗ੍ਰਿਹਿ ਲਾਲ ਆਏ ਪੁਰਬਿ ਕਮਾਏ ਤਾ ਕੀ ਉਪਮਾ ਕਿਆ ਗਣਾ ॥ Garihi laal aa▫é purab kamaa▫é ṫaa kee upmaa ki▫aa gaṇaa. My Beloved has come to my home, because of my past actions; how can I count His Glories? ਬੇਅੰਤ ਪੂਰਨ ਸੁਖ ਸਹਜ ਦਾਤਾ ਕਵਨ ਰਸਨਾ ਗੁਣ ਭਣਾ ॥ Bé▫anṫ pooran sukʰ sahj ḋaaṫaa kavan rasnaa guṇ bʰaṇaa. The Lord, the Giver of peace and intuition, is infinite and perfect; with what tongue can I describe His Glorious Virtues? ਆਪੇ ਮਿਲਾਏ ਗਹਿ ਕੰਠਿ ਲਾਏ ਤਿਸੁ ਬਿਨਾ ਨਹੀ ਜਾਇ ਜੀਉ ॥ Aapé milaa▫é gėh kantʰ laa▫é ṫis binaa nahee jaa▫é jee▫o. He hugs me close in His embrace, and merges me into Himself; there is no place of rest other than Him. ਬਲਿ ਜਾਇ ਨਾਨਕੁ ਸਦਾ ਕਰਤੇ ਸਭ ਮਹਿ ਰਹਿਆ ਸਮਾਇ ਜੀਉ ॥੪॥੪॥ Bal jaa▫é Naanak saḋaa karṫé sabʰ mėh rahi▫aa samaa▫é jee▫o. ||4||4|| Nanak is forever a sacrifice to the Creator, who is contained in, and permeating all. ||4||4|| ਰਾਗੁ ਰਾਮਕਲੀ ਮਹਲਾ ੫ ॥ Raag raamkalee mėhlaa 5. Raag Raamkalee, Fifth Mehl: ਰਣ ਝੁੰਝਨੜਾ ਗਾਉ ਸਖੀ ਹਰਿ ਏਕੁ ਧਿਆਵਹੁ ॥ Raṇ jʰunjʰnaṛaa gaa▫o sakʰee har ék ḋʰi▫aavahu. Sing the melodious harmonies, O my companions, and meditate on the One Lord. ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਤੁਮ ਸੇਵਿ ਸਖੀ ਮਨਿ ਚਿੰਦਿਅੜਾ ਫਲੁ ਪਾਵਹੁ ॥ Saṫgur ṫum sév sakʰee man chinḋi▫aṛaa fal paavhu. Serve your True Guru, O my companions, and you shall obtain the fruits of your mind’s desires. ਰਾਮਕਲੀ ਮਹਲਾ ੫ ਰੁਤੀ ਸਲੋਕੁ Raamkalee mėhlaa 5 ruṫee salok Raamkalee, Fifth Mehl, Ruti ~ The Seasons. Shalok: ੴ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਪ੍ਰਸਾਦਿ ॥ Ik▫oaⁿkaar saṫgur parsaaḋ. One Universal Creator God. By The Grace Of The True Guru: ਕਰਿ ਬੰਦਨ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਪਾਰਬ੍ਰਹਮ ਬਾਛਉ ਸਾਧਹ ਧੂਰਿ ॥ Kar banḋan parabʰ paarbarahm baachʰa▫o saaḋʰah ḋʰoor. Bow to the Supreme Lord God, and seek the dust of the feet of the Holy. ਆਪੁ ਨਿਵਾਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਭਜਉ ਨਾਨਕ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਭਰਪੂਰਿ ॥੧॥ Aap nivaar har har bʰaja▫o Naanak parabʰ bʰarpoor. ||1|| Cast out your self-conceit, and vibrate, meditate, on the Lord, Har, Har. O Nanak! God is all-pervading. ||1|| ਕਿਲਵਿਖ ਕਾਟਣ ਭੈ ਹਰਣ ਸੁਖ ਸਾਗਰ ਹਰਿ ਰਾਇ ॥ Kilvikʰ kaataṇ bʰæ haraṇ sukʰ saagar har raa▫é. He is the Eradicator of sins, the Destroyer of fear, the Ocean of peace, the Sovereign Lord King. ਦੀਨ ਦਇਆਲ ਦੁਖ ਭੰਜਨੋ ਨਾਨਕ ਨੀਤ ਧਿਆਇ ॥੨॥ Ḋeen ḋa▫i▫aal ḋukʰ bʰanjno Naanak neeṫ ḋʰi▫aa▫é. ||2|| Merciful to the meek, the Destroyer of pain: O Nanak! Always meditate on Him. ||2|| ਛੰਤੁ ॥ Chʰanṫ. Chhant: ਜਸੁ ਗਾਵਹੁ ਵਡਭਾਗੀਹੋ ਕਰਿ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਭਗਵੰਤ ਜੀਉ ॥ Jas gaavhu vadbʰaageeho kar kirpaa bʰagvanṫ jee▫o. Sing His Praises, O very fortunate ones, and the Dear Lord God shall bless you with His Mercy. ਰੁਤੀ ਮਾਹ ਮੂਰਤ ਘੜੀ ਗੁਣ ਉਚਰਤ ਸੋਭਾਵੰਤ ਜੀਉ ॥ Ruṫee maah mooraṫ gʰaṛee guṇ uchraṫ sobʰaavanṫ jee▫o. Blessed and auspicious is that season, that month, that moment, that hour, when you chant the Lord’s Glorious Praises. ਗੁਣ ਰੰਗਿ ਰਾਤੇ ਧੰਨਿ ਤੇ ਜਨ ਜਿਨੀ ਇਕ ਮਨਿ ਧਿਆਇਆ ॥ Guṇ rang raaṫé ḋʰan ṫé jan jinee ik man ḋʰi▫aa▫i▫aa. Blessed are those humble beings, who are imbued with love for His Praises, and who meditate single-mindedly on Him. ਸਫਲ ਜਨਮੁ ਭਇਆ ਤਿਨ ਕਾ ਜਿਨੀ ਸੋ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਪਾਇਆ ॥ Safal janam bʰa▫i▫aa ṫin kaa jinee so parabʰ paa▫i▫aa. Their lives become fruitful, and they find that Lord God. ਪੁੰਨ ਦਾਨ ਨ ਤੁਲਿ ਕਿਰਿਆ ਹਰਿ ਸਰਬ ਪਾਪਾ ਹੰਤ ਜੀਉ ॥ Punn ḋaan na ṫul kiri▫aa har sarab paapaa hanṫ jee▫o. Donations to charities and religious rituals are not equal to meditation on the Lord, who destroys all sins. ਬਿਨਵੰਤਿ ਨਾਨਕ ਸਿਮਰਿ ਜੀਵਾ ਜਨਮ ਮਰਣ ਰਹੰਤ ਜੀਉ ॥੧॥ Binvanṫ Naanak simar jeevaa janam maraṇ rahanṫ jee▫o. ||1|| Prays Nanak, meditating in remembrance of Him, I live; birth and death are finished for me. ||1|| ਸਲੋਕ ॥ Salok. Shalok: ਉਦਮੁ ਅਗਮੁ ਅਗੋਚਰੋ ਚਰਨ ਕਮਲ ਨਮਸਕਾਰ ॥ Uḋam agam agocharo charan kamal namaskaar. Strive for the inaccessible and unfathomable Lord, and bow in humility to His lotus feet. ਕਥਨੀ ਸਾ ਤੁਧੁ ਭਾਵਸੀ ਨਾਨਕ ਨਾਮ ਅਧਾਰ ॥੧॥ Kaṫʰnee saa ṫuḋʰ bʰaavsee Naanak naam aḋʰaar. ||1|| O Nanak! That sermon alone is pleasing to You, Lord, which inspires us to take the Support of the Name. ||1|| ਸੰਤ ਸਰਣਿ ਸਾਜਨ ਪਰਹੁ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਸਿਮਰਿ ਅਨੰਤ ॥ Sanṫ saraṇ saajan parahu su▫aamee simar ananṫ. Seek the Sanctuary of the Saints, O friends; meditate in remembrance of your infinite Lord and Master. ਸੂਕੇ ਤੇ ਹਰਿਆ ਥੀਆ ਨਾਨਕ ਜਪਿ ਭਗਵੰਤ ॥੨॥ Sooké ṫé hari▫aa ṫʰee▫aa Naanak jap bʰagvanṫ. ||2|| The dried branch shall blossom forth in its greenery again, O Nanak! Meditating on the Lord God. ||2|| ਛੰਤੁ ॥ Chʰanṫ. Chhant: ਰੁਤਿ ਸਰਸ ਬਸੰਤ ਮਾਹ ਚੇਤੁ ਵੈਸਾਖ ਸੁਖ ਮਾਸੁ ਜੀਉ ॥ Ruṫ saras basanṫ maah chéṫ væsaakʰ sukʰ maas jee▫o. The season of spring is delightful; the months of Chayt and Baisaakhi are the most pleasant months. ਹਰਿ ਜੀਉ ਨਾਹੁ ਮਿਲਿਆ ਮਉਲਿਆ ਮਨੁ ਤਨੁ ਸਾਸੁ ਜੀਉ ॥ Har jee▫o naahu mili▫aa ma▫oli▫aa man ṫan saas jee▫o. I have obtained the Dear Lord as my Husband, and my mind, body and breath have blossomed forth. ਘਰਿ ਨਾਹੁ ਨਿਹਚਲੁ ਅਨਦੁ ਸਖੀਏ ਚਰਨ ਕਮਲ ਪ੍ਰਫੁਲਿਆ ॥ Gʰar naahu nihchal anaḋ sakʰee▫é charan kamal parfuli▫aa. The eternal, unchanging Lord has come into my home as my Husband, O my companions; dwelling upon His lotus feet, I blossom forth in bliss. |
