ਤਿਨ ਤੂੰ ਵਿਸਰਹਿ ਜਿ ਦੂਜੈ ਭਾਏ ॥

Ṫin ṫooᴺ visrahi jė ḋoojæ bʱaa▫é.

Those who are in love with duality forget You.

ਮਨਮੁਖ ਅਗਿਆਨੀ ਜੋਨੀ ਪਾਏ ॥੨॥

Manmukʱ agi▫aanee jonee paa▫é. ||2||

The ignorant, self-willed Manmukhs are consigned to reincarnation. ||2||

ਜਿਨ ਇਕ ਮਨਿ ਤੁਠਾ ਸੇ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਸੇਵਾ ਲਾਏ ॥

Jin ik man ṫutʱaa sé saṫgur sévaa laa▫é.

Those who are pleasing to the One Lord are assigned to His service.

ਜਿਨ ਇਕ ਮਨਿ ਤੁਠਾ ਤਿਨ ਹਰਿ ਮੰਨਿ ਵਸਾਏ ॥

Jin ik man ṫutʱaa ṫin har man vasaa▫é.

Those who are pleasing to the One Lord enshrine Him within their minds.

ਗੁਰਮਤੀ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮਿ ਸਮਾਏ ॥੩॥

Gurmaṫee har naam samaa▫é. ||3||

Through the Guru’s Teachings, they are absorbed in the Lord’s Name. ||3||

ਜਿਨਾ ਪੋਤੈ ਪੁੰਨੁ ਸੇ ਗਿਆਨ ਬੀਚਾਰੀ ॥

Jinaa poṫæ punn sé gi▫aan beechaaree.

Those who have virtue as their treasure, contemplate spiritual wisdom.

ਜਿਨਾ ਪੋਤੈ ਪੁੰਨੁ ਤਿਨ ਹਉਮੈ ਮਾਰੀ ॥

Jinaa poṫæ punn ṫin ha▫umæ maaree.

Those who have virtue as their treasure, subdue egotism.

ਨਾਨਕ ਜੋ ਨਾਮਿ ਰਤੇ ਤਿਨ ਕਉ ਬਲਿਹਾਰੀ ॥੪॥੭॥੨੭॥

Naanak jo naam raṫé ṫin ka▫o balihaaree. ||4||7||27||

Nanak is a sacrifice to those who are attuned to the Naam, the Name of the Lord. ||4||7||27||

ਗਉੜੀ ਗੁਆਰੇਰੀ ਮਹਲਾ ੩ ॥

Ga▫oṛee gu▫aaréree mėhlaa 3.

Gauree Gwaarayree, Third Mehl:

ਤੂੰ ਅਕਥੁ ਕਿਉ ਕਥਿਆ ਜਾਹਿ ॥

Ṫooᴺ akaṫʱ ki▫o kaṫʱi▫aa jaahi.

You are Indescribable; how can I describe You?

ਗੁਰ ਸਬਦੁ ਮਾਰਣੁ ਮਨ ਮਾਹਿ ਸਮਾਹਿ ॥

Gur sabaḋ maaraṇ man maahi samaahi.

Those who subdue their minds, through the Word of the Guru’s Shabad, are absorbed in You.

ਤੇਰੇ ਗੁਣ ਅਨੇਕ ਕੀਮਤਿ ਨਹ ਪਾਹਿ ॥੧॥

Ṫéré guṇ anék keemaṫ nah paahi. ||1||

Your Glorious Virtues are countless; their value cannot be estimated. ||1||

ਜਿਸ ਕੀ ਬਾਣੀ ਤਿਸੁ ਮਾਹਿ ਸਮਾਣੀ ॥

Jis kee baṇee ṫis maahi samaaṇee.

The Word of His Bani belongs to Him; in Him, it is diffused.

ਤੇਰੀ ਅਕਥ ਕਥਾ ਗੁਰ ਸਬਦਿ ਵਖਾਣੀ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥

Ṫéree akaṫʱ kaṫʱaa gur sabaḋ vakʱaaṇee. ||1|| rahaa▫o.

Your Speech cannot be spoken; through the Word of the Guru’s Shabad, it is chanted. ||1||Pause||

ਜਹ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਤਹ ਸਤਸੰਗਤਿ ਬਣਾਈ ॥

Jah saṫgur ṫah saṫsangaṫ baṇaa▫ee.

Where the True Guru is - there is the Sat Sangat, the True Congregation.

ਜਹ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਸਹਜੇ ਹਰਿ ਗੁਣ ਗਾਈ ॥

Jah saṫgur sėhjé har guṇ gaa▫ee.

Where the True Guru is - there, the Glorious Praises of the Lord are intuitively sung.

ਜਹ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਤਹਾ ਹਉਮੈ ਸਬਦਿ ਜਲਾਈ ॥੨॥

Jah saṫgur ṫahaa ha▫umæ sabaḋ jalaa▫ee. ||2||

Egotism is burnt away there where the True Guru is, through the Word of the Shabad. ||2||

ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਸੇਵਾ ਮਹਲੀ ਥਾਉ ਪਾਏ ॥

Gurmukʱ sévaa mahlee ṫʱaa▫o paa▫é.

The Gurmukhs serve Him; they obtain a place in the Mansion of His Presence.

ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਅੰਤਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਵਸਾਏ ॥

Gurmukʱ anṫar har naam vasaa▫é.

The Gurmukhs enshrine the Naam within the mind.

ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਭਗਤਿ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮਿ ਸਮਾਏ ॥੩॥

Gurmukʱ bʱagaṫ har naam samaa▫é. ||3||

The Gurmukhs worship the Lord, and are absorbed in the Naam. ||3||

ਆਪੇ ਦਾਤਿ ਕਰੇ ਦਾਤਾਰੁ ॥

Aapé ḋaaṫ karé ḋaaṫaar.

The Giver Himself gives His Gifts,

ਪੂਰੇ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਸਿਉ ਲਗੈ ਪਿਆਰੁ ॥

Pooré saṫgur si▫o lagæ pi▫aar.

as we enshrine love for the True Guru.

ਨਾਨਕ ਨਾਮਿ ਰਤੇ ਤਿਨ ਕਉ ਜੈਕਾਰੁ ॥੪॥੮॥੨੮॥

Naanak naam raṫé ṫin ka▫o jækaar. ||4||8||28||

Nanak celebrates those who are attuned to the Naam, the Name of the Lord. ||4||8||28||

ਗਉੜੀ ਗੁਆਰੇਰੀ ਮਹਲਾ ੩ ॥

Gauree Gwaarayree, Third Mehl:

ਏਕਸੁ ਤੇ ਸਭਿ ਰੂਪ ਹਹਿ ਰੰਗਾ ॥

Ėkas ṫé sabʱ roop hėh rangaa.

All forms and colors come from the One Lord.

ਪਉਣੁ ਪਾਣੀ ਬੈਸੰਤਰੁ ਸਭਿ ਸਹਲੰਗਾ ॥

Pa▫uṇ paaṇee bæsanṫar sabʱ sahlangaa.

Air, water and fire are all kept together.

ਭਿੰਨ ਭਿੰਨ ਵੇਖੈ ਹਰਿ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਰੰਗਾ ॥੧॥

Bʱinn bʱinn vékʱæ har parabʱ rangaa. ||1||

The Lord God beholds the many and various colors. ||1||

ਏਕੁ ਅਚਰਜੁ ਏਕੋ ਹੈ ਸੋਈ ॥

Ėk achraj éko hæ so▫ee.

The One Lord is wondrous and amazing! He is the One, the One and Only.

ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਵੀਚਾਰੇ ਵਿਰਲਾ ਕੋਈ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥

Gurmukʱ veechaaré virlaa ko▫ee. ||1|| rahaa▫o.

How rare is that Gurmukh who meditates on the Lord. ||1||Pause||

ਸਹਜਿ ਭਵੈ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਸਭਨੀ ਥਾਈ ॥

Sahj bʱavæ parabʱ sabʱnee ṫʱaa▫ee.

God is naturally pervading all places.

ਕਹਾ ਗੁਪਤੁ ਪ੍ਰਗਟੁ ਪ੍ਰਭਿ ਬਣਤ ਬਣਾਈ ॥

Kahaa gupaṫ pargat parabʱ baṇaṫ baṇaa▫ee.

God has made such a design that sometimes He is hidden, and sometimes He is revealed.

ਆਪੇ ਸੁਤਿਆ ਦੇਇ ਜਗਾਈ ॥੨॥

Aapé suṫi▫aa ḋé▫é jagaa▫ee. ||2||

He Himself wakes us from sleep. ||2||

ਤਿਸ ਕੀ ਕੀਮਤਿ ਕਿਨੈ ਨ ਹੋਈ ॥

Ṫis kee keemaṫ kinæ na ho▫ee.

No one can estimate His value,

ਕਹਿ ਕਹਿ ਕਥਨੁ ਕਹੈ ਸਭੁ ਕੋਈ ॥

Kahi kahi kaṫʱan kahæ sabʱ ko▫ee.

although everyone has tried, over and over again, to describe Him.

ਗੁਰ ਸਬਦਿ ਸਮਾਵੈ ਬੂਝੈ ਹਰਿ ਸੋਈ ॥੩॥

Gur sabaḋ samaavæ boojʱæ har so▫ee. ||3||

Those who merge in the Word of the Guru’s Shabad, come to understand the Lord. ||3||

ਸੁਣਿ ਸੁਣਿ ਵੇਖੈ ਸਬਦਿ ਮਿਲਾਏ ॥

Suṇ suṇ vékʱæ sabaḋ milaa▫é.

They listen to the Shabad continually; beholding Him, they merge into Him.

ਵਡੀ ਵਡਿਆਈ ਗੁਰ ਸੇਵਾ ਤੇ ਪਾਏ ॥

vadee vadi▫aa▫ee gur sévaa ṫé paa▫é.

They obtain glorious greatness by serving the Guru.

ਨਾਨਕ ਨਾਮਿ ਰਤੇ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮਿ ਸਮਾਏ ॥੪॥੯॥੨੯॥

Naanak naam raṫé har naam samaa▫é. ||4||9||29||

O Nanak! Those who are attuned to the Name are absorbed in the Lord’s Name. ||4||9||29||

ਗਉੜੀ ਗੁਆਰੇਰੀ ਮਹਲਾ ੩ ॥

ਮਨਮੁਖਿ ਸੂਤਾ ਮਾਇਆ ਮੋਹਿ ਪਿਆਰਿ ॥

Manmukʱ sooṫaa maa▫i▫aa mohi pi▫aar.

The self-willed Manmukhs are (spiritually) asleep, in their love of and attachment to Maya.

ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਜਾਗੇ ਗੁਣ ਗਿਆਨ ਬੀਚਾਰਿ ॥

Gurmukʱ jaagé guṇ gi▫aan beechaar.

The Gurmukhs are awake, contemplating spiritual wisdom and the Glory of God.

ਸੇ ਜਨ ਜਾਗੇ ਜਿਨ ਨਾਮ ਪਿਆਰਿ ॥੧॥

Sé jan jaagé jin naam pi▫aar. ||1||

Those humble beings who love the Naam, are awake and aware. ||1||

ਸਹਜੇ ਜਾਗੈ ਸਵੈ ਨ ਕੋਇ ॥

Sėhjé jaagæ savæ na ko▫é.

One who is awake to this intuitive wisdom does not fall asleep.

ਪੂਰੇ ਗੁਰ ਤੇ ਬੂਝੈ ਜਨੁ ਕੋਇ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥

Pooré gur ṫé boojʱæ jan ko▫é. ||1|| rahaa▫o.

How rare are those humble beings who understand this through the Perfect Guru. ||1||Pause||

ਅਸੰਤੁ ਅਨਾੜੀ ਕਦੇ ਨ ਬੂਝੈ ॥

Asanṫ anaaṛee kaḋé na boojʱæ.

The unsaintly blockhead shall never understand.

ਕਥਨੀ ਕਰੇ ਤੈ ਮਾਇਆ ਨਾਲਿ ਲੂਝੈ ॥

Kaṫʱnee karé ṫæ maa▫i▫aa naal loojʱæ.

He babbles on and on, but he is infatuated with Maya.

ਅੰਧੁ ਅਗਿਆਨੀ ਕਦੇ ਨ ਸੀਝੈ ॥੨॥

Anḋʱ agi▫aanee kaḋé na seejʱæ. ||2||

Blind and ignorant, he shall never be reformed. ||2||

ਇਸੁ ਜੁਗ ਮਹਿ ਰਾਮ ਨਾਮਿ ਨਿਸਤਾਰਾ ॥

Is jug mėh raam naam nisṫaaraa.

In this age, salvation comes only from the Lord’s Name.

ਵਿਰਲਾ ਕੋ ਪਾਏ ਗੁਰ ਸਬਦਿ ਵੀਚਾਰਾ ॥

virlaa ko paa▫é gur sabaḋ veechaaraa.

How rare are those who contemplate the Word of the Guru’s Shabad.

ਆਪਿ ਤਰੈ ਸਗਲੇ ਕੁਲ ਉਧਾਰਾ ॥੩॥

Aap ṫaræ saglé kul uḋʱaaraa. ||3||

They save themselves, and save all their family and ancestors as well. ||3||
