ਜਉ ਗੁਰਦੇਉ ਬੁਰਾ ਭਲਾ ਏਕ ॥

Ja▫o gurḋé▫o buraa bʰalaa ék.

When the Divine Guru grants His Grace, one looks upon good and bad as the same.

ਜਉ ਗੁਰਦੇਉ ਲਿਲਾਟਹਿ ਲੇਖ ॥੫॥

Ja▫o gurḋé▫o lilaatėh lékʰ. ||5||

When the Divine Guru grants His Grace, one has good destiny written on his forehead. ||5||

ਜਉ ਗੁਰਦੇਉ ਕੰਧੁ ਨਹੀ ਹਿਰੈ ॥

Ja▫o gurḋé▫o kanḋʰ nahee hiræ.

When the Divine Guru grants His Grace, the wall of the body is not eroded.

ਜਉ ਗੁਰਦੇਉ ਦੇਹੁਰਾ ਫਿਰੈ ॥

Ja▫o gurḋé▫o ḋéhuraa firæ.

When the Divine Guru grants His Grace, the temple turns itself towards the mortal.

ਜਉ ਗੁਰਦੇਉ ਤ ਛਾਪਰਿ ਛਾਈ ॥

Ja▫o gurḋé▫o ṫa chʰaapar chʰaa▫ee.

When the Divine Guru grants His Grace, one’s home is constructed.

ਜਉ ਗੁਰਦੇਉ ਸਿਹਜ ਨਿਕਸਾਈ ॥੬॥

Ja▫o gurḋé▫o sihaj niksaa▫ee. ||6||

When the Divine Guru grants His Grace, one’s bed is lifted up out of the water. ||6||

ਜਉ ਗੁਰਦੇਉ ਤ ਅਠਸਠਿ ਨਾਇਆ ॥

Ja▫o gurḋé▫o ṫa atʰsatʰ naa▫i▫aa.

When the Divine Guru grants His Grace, one has bathed at the sixty-eight sacred shrines of pilgrimage.

ਜਉ ਗੁਰਦੇਉ ਤਨਿ ਚਕ੍ਰ ਲਗਾਇਆ ॥

Ja▫o gurḋé▫o ṫan chakar lagaa▫i▫aa.

When the Divine Guru grants His Grace, one’s body is stamped with the sacred mark of Vishnu.

ਜਉ ਗੁਰਦੇਉ ਤ ਦੁਆਦਸ ਸੇਵਾ ॥

Ja▫o gurḋé▫o ṫa ḋu▫aaḋas sévaa.

When the Divine Guru grants His Grace, one has performed the twelve devotional services.

ਜਉ ਗੁਰਦੇਉ ਸਭੈ ਬਿਖੁ ਮੇਵਾ ॥੭॥

Ja▫o gurḋé▫o sabʰæ bikʰ mévaa. ||7||

When the Divine Guru grants His Grace, all poison is transformed into fruit. ||7||

ਜਉ ਗੁਰਦੇਉ ਤ ਸੰਸਾ ਟੂਟੈ ॥

Ja▫o gurḋé▫o ṫa sansaa tootæ.

When the Divine Guru grants His Grace, skepticism is shattered.

ਜਉ ਗੁਰਦੇਉ ਤ ਜਮ ਤੇ ਛੂਟੈ ॥

Ja▫o gurḋé▫o ṫa jam ṫé chʰootæ.

When the Divine Guru grants His Grace, one escapes from the Messenger of Death.

ਜਉ ਗੁਰਦੇਉ ਤ ਭਉਜਲ ਤਰੈ ॥

Ja▫o gurḋé▫o ṫa bʰa▫ojal ṫaræ.

When the Divine Guru grants His Grace, one crosses over the terrifying world-ocean.

ਜਉ ਗੁਰਦੇਉ ਤ ਜਨਮਿ ਨ ਮਰੈ ॥੮॥

Ja▫o gurḋé▫o ṫa janam na maræ. ||8||

When the Divine Guru grants His Grace, one is not subject to the cycle of reincarnation. ||8||

ਜਉ ਗੁਰਦੇਉ ਅਠਦਸ ਬਿਉਹਾਰ ॥

Ja▫o gurḋé▫o atʰ▫ḋas bi▫uhaar.

When the Divine Guru grants His Grace, one understands the rituals of the eighteen Puranas.

ਜਉ ਗੁਰਦੇਉ ਅਠਾਰਹ ਭਾਰ ॥

Ja▫o gurḋé▫o atʰaarah bʰaar.

When the Divine Guru grants His Grace, it is as if one has made an offering of the eighteen loads of vegetation.

ਬਿਨੁ ਗੁਰਦੇਉ ਅਵਰ ਨਹੀ ਜਾਈ ॥

Bin gurḋé▫o avar nahee jaa▫ee.

When the Divine Guru grants His Grace, one needs no other place of rest.

ਨਾਮਦੇਉ ਗੁਰ ਕੀ ਸਰਣਾਈ ॥੯॥੧॥੨॥੧੧॥

Naamḋé▫o gur kee sarṇaa▫ee. ||9||1||2||11||

Namdev has entered the Sanctuary of the Guru. ||9||1||2||11||

ਭੈਰਉ ਬਾਣੀ ਰਵਿਦਾਸ ਜੀਉ ਕੀ ਘਰੁ ੨

ੴ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਪ੍ਰਸਾਦਿ ॥

Ik▫oaⁿkaar saṫgur parsaaḋ.

One Universal Creator God. By The Grace Of The True Guru:

ਬਿਨੁ ਦੇਖੇ ਉਪਜੈ ਨਹੀ ਆਸਾ ॥

Bin ḋékʰé upjæ nahee aasaa.

Without seeing something, the yearning for it does not arise.

ਜੋ ਦੀਸੈ ਸੋ ਹੋਇ ਬਿਨਾਸਾ ॥

Jo ḋeesæ so ho▫é binaasaa.

Whatever is seen, shall pass away.

ਬਰਨ ਸਹਿਤ ਜੋ ਜਾਪੈ ਨਾਮੁ ॥

Baran sahiṫ jo jaapæ naam.

Whoever chants and praises the Naam, the Name of the Lord,

ਸੋ ਜੋਗੀ ਕੇਵਲ ਨਿਹਕਾਮੁ ॥੧॥

So jogee kéval nihkaam. ||1||

is the true Yogi, free of desire. ||1||

ਪਰਚੈ ਰਾਮੁ ਰਵੈ ਜਉ ਕੋਈ ॥

Parchæ raam ravæ ja▫o ko▫ee.

When someone utters the Name of the Lord with love,

ਪਾਰਸੁ ਪਰਸੈ ਦੁਬਿਧਾ ਨ ਹੋਈ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥

Paaras parsæ ḋubiḋʰaa na ho▫ee. ||1|| rahaa▫o.

it is as if he has touched the philosopher’s stone; his sense of duality is eradicated. ||1||Pause||

ਸੋ ਮੁਨਿ ਮਨ ਕੀ ਦੁਬਿਧਾ ਖਾਇ ॥

So mun man kee ḋubiḋʰaa kʰaa▫é.

He alone is a silent sage, who destroys the duality of his mind.

ਬਿਨੁ ਦੁਆਰੇ ਤ੍ਰੈ ਲੋਕ ਸਮਾਇ ॥

Bin ḋu▫aaré ṫaræ lok samaa▫é.

Keeping the doors of his body closed, he merges into the Lord of the three worlds.

ਮਨ ਕਾ ਸੁਭਾਉ ਸਭੁ ਕੋਈ ਕਰੈ ॥

Man kaa subʰaa▫o sabʰ ko▫ee karæ.

Everyone acts according to the inclinations of the mind.

ਕਰਤਾ ਹੋਇ ਸੁ ਅਨਭੈ ਰਹੈ ॥੨॥

Karṫaa ho▫é so anbʰæ rahæ. ||2||

Attuned to the Creator Lord, one remains free of fear. ||2||

ਫਲ ਕਾਰਨ ਫੂਲੀ ਬਨਰਾਇ ॥

Fal kaaran foolee banraa▫é.

Plants blossom forth to produce fruit.

ਫਲੁ ਲਾਗਾ ਤਬ ਫੂਲੁ ਬਿਲਾਇ ॥

Fal laagaa ṫab fool bilaa▫é.

When the fruit is produced, the flowers wither away.

ਗਿਆਨੈ ਕਾਰਨ ਕਰਮ ਅਭਿਆਸੁ ॥

Gi▫aanæ kaaran karam abʰi▫aas.

For the sake of spiritual wisdom, people act and practice rituals.

ਗਿਆਨੁ ਭਇਆ ਤਹ ਕਰਮਹ ਨਾਸੁ ॥੩॥

Gi▫aan bʰa▫i▫aa ṫah karmah naas. ||3||

When spiritual wisdom wells up, then actions are left behind. ||3||

ਘ੍ਰਿਤ ਕਾਰਨ ਦਧਿ ਮਥੈ ਸਇਆਨ ॥

Gʰariṫ kaaran ḋaḋʰ maṫʰæ sa▫i▫aan.

For the sake of ghee, wise people churn milk.

ਜੀਵਤ ਮੁਕਤ ਸਦਾ ਨਿਰਬਾਨ ॥

Jeevaṫ mukaṫ saḋaa nirbaan.

Those who are Jivan-mukta, liberated while still alive - are forever in the state of Nirvana.

ਕਹਿ ਰਵਿਦਾਸ ਪਰਮ ਬੈਰਾਗ ॥

Kahi Raviḋaas param bæraag.

Says Ravi Das, O you unfortunate people,

ਰਿਦੈ ਰਾਮੁ ਕੀ ਨ ਜਪਸਿ ਅਭਾਗ ॥੪॥੧॥

Riḋæ raam kee na japas abʰaag. ||4||1||

why not meditate on the Lord with love in your heart? ||4||1||

ਨਾਮਦੇਵ ॥

Naamḋév.

Namdev:

ਆਉ ਕਲੰਦਰ ਕੇਸਵਾ ॥

Aa▫o kalanḋar késvaa.

Come, O Lord of beautiful hair,

ਕਰਿ ਅਬਦਾਲੀ ਭੇਸਵਾ ॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥

Kar abḋaalee bʰésvaa. Rahaa▫o.

wearing the robes of a Sufi Saint. ||Pause||

ਜਿਨਿ ਆਕਾਸ ਕੁਲਹ ਸਿਰਿ ਕੀਨੀ ਕਉਸੈ ਸਪਤ ਪਯਾਲਾ ॥

Jin aakaas kulah sir keenee ka▫usæ sapaṫ pa▫yaalaa.

Your cap is the realm of the Akashic ethers; the seven nether worlds are Your sandals.

ਚਮਰ ਪੋਸ ਕਾ ਮੰਦਰੁ ਤੇਰਾ ਇਹ ਬਿਧਿ ਬਨੇ ਗੁਪਾਲਾ ॥੧॥

Chamar pos kaa manḋar ṫéraa ih biḋʰ bané gupaalaa. ||1||

The body covered with skin is Your temple; You are so beautiful, O Lord of the World. ||1||

ਛਪਨ ਕੋਟਿ ਕਾ ਪੇਹਨੁ ਤੇਰਾ ਸੋਲਹ ਸਹਸ ਇਜਾਰਾ ॥

Chʰapan kot kaa péhan ṫéraa solah sahas ijaaraa.

The fifty-six million clouds are Your gowns, the 16,000 milkmaids are your skirts.

ਭਾਰ ਅਠਾਰਹ ਮੁਦਗਰੁ ਤੇਰਾ ਸਹਨਕ ਸਭ ਸੰਸਾਰਾ ॥੨॥

Bʰaar atʰaarah muḋgar ṫéraa sahnak sabʰ sansaaraa. ||2||

The eighteen loads of vegetation is Your stick, and all the world is Your plate. ||2||

ਦੇਹੀ ਮਹਜਿਦਿ ਮਨੁ ਮਉਲਾਨਾ ਸਹਜ ਨਿਵਾਜ ਗੁਜਾਰੈ ॥

Ḋéhee mėhjiḋ man ma▫ulaanaa sahj nivaaj gujaaræ.

The human body is the mosque, and the mind is the priest, who peacefully leads the prayer.

ਬੀਬੀ ਕਉਲਾ ਸਉ ਕਾਇਨੁ ਤੇਰਾ ਨਿਰੰਕਾਰ ਆਕਾਰੈ ॥੩॥

Beebee ka▫ulaa sa▫o kaa▫in ṫéraa nirankaar aakaaræ. ||3||

You are married to Maya, O Formless Lord, and so You have taken form. ||3||

ਭਗਤਿ ਕਰਤ ਮੇਰੇ ਤਾਲ ਛਿਨਾਏ ਕਿਹ ਪਹਿ ਕਰਉ ਪੁਕਾਰਾ ॥

Bʰagaṫ karaṫ méré ṫaal chʰinaa▫é kih pėh kara▫o pukaaraa.

Performing devotional worship services to You, my cymbals were taken away; unto whom should I complain?

ਨਾਮੇ ਕਾ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਅੰਤਰਜਾਮੀ ਫਿਰੇ ਸਗਲ ਬੇਦੇਸਵਾ ॥੪॥੧॥

Naamé kaa su▫aamee anṫarjaamee firé sagal béḋésvaa. ||4||1||

Namdev’s Lord and Master, the Inner-knower, the Searcher of hearts, wanders everywhere; He has no specific home. ||4||1||
