966 ਧੰਨੁ ਸੁ ਤੇਰੇ ਭਗਤ ਜਿਨੑੀ ਸਚੁ ਤੂੰ ਡਿਠਾ ॥ Ḋʰan so ṫéré bʰagaṫ jinĥee sach ṫooⁿ ditʰaa. Blessed are Your devotees, who see You, O True Lord. ਜਿਸ ਨੋ ਤੇਰੀ ਦਇਆ ਸਲਾਹੇ ਸੋਇ ਤੁਧੁ ॥ Jis no ṫéree ḋa▫i▫aa salaahé so▫é ṫuḋʰ. He alone praises You, who is blessed by Your Grace. ਜਿਸੁ ਗੁਰ ਭੇਟੇ ਨਾਨਕ ਨਿਰਮਲ ਸੋਈ ਸੁਧੁ ॥੨੦॥ Jis gur bʰété Naanak nirmal so▫ee suḋʰ. ||20|| One who meets the Guru, O Nanak! Is immaculate and sanctified. ||20|| ਸਲੋਕ ਮਃ ੫ ॥ Salok mėhlaa 5. Shalok, Fifth Mehl: ਫਰੀਦਾ ਭੂਮਿ ਰੰਗਾਵਲੀ ਮੰਝਿ ਵਿਸੂਲਾ ਬਾਗੁ ॥ Fareeḋaa bʰoom rangaavalee manjʰ visoolaa baag. Farid, this world is beautiful, but there is a thorny garden within it. ਜੋ ਨਰ ਪੀਰਿ ਨਿਵਾਜਿਆ ਤਿਨੑਾ ਅੰਚ ਨ ਲਾਗ ॥੧॥ Jo nar peer nivaaji▫aa ṫinĥaa anch na laag. ||1|| Those who are blessed by their spiritual teacher are not even scratched. ||1|| ਮਃ ੫ ॥ Mėhlaa 5. Fifth Mehl: ਫਰੀਦਾ ਉਮਰ ਸੁਹਾਵੜੀ ਸੰਗਿ ਸੁਵੰਨੜੀ ਦੇਹ ॥ Fareeḋaa umar suhaavaṛee sang suvannṛee ḋéh. Farid, blessed is the life, with such a beautiful body. ਵਿਰਲੇ ਕੇਈ ਪਾਈਅਨੑਿ ਜਿਨੑਾ ਪਿਆਰੇ ਨੇਹ ॥੨॥ virlé ké▫ee paa▫ee▫aniĥ jinĥaa pi▫aaré néh. ||2|| How rare are those who are found to love their Beloved Lord. ||2|| ਪਉੜੀ ॥ Pa▫oṛee. Pauree: ਜਪੁ ਤਪੁ ਸੰਜਮੁ ਦਇਆ ਧਰਮੁ ਜਿਸੁ ਦੇਹਿ ਸੁ ਪਾਏ ॥ Jap ṫap sanjam ḋa▫i▫aa ḋʰaram jis ḋėh so paa▫é. He alone obtains meditation, austerities, self-discipline, compassion and Dharmic faith, whom the Lord so blesses. ਜਿਸੁ ਬੁਝਾਇਹਿ ਅਗਨਿ ਆਪਿ ਸੋ ਨਾਮੁ ਧਿਆਏ ॥ Jis bujʰaa▫ihi agan aap so naam ḋʰi▫aa▫é. He alone meditates on the Naam, the Name of the Lord, whose fire the Lord puts out. ਅੰਤਰਜਾਮੀ ਅਗਮ ਪੁਰਖੁ ਇਕ ਦ੍ਰਿਸਟਿ ਦਿਖਾਏ ॥ Anṫarjaamee agam purakʰ ik ḋarisat ḋikʰaa▫é. The Inner-knower, the Searcher of hearts, the Inaccessible Primal Lord, inspires us to look upon all with an impartial eye. ਸਾਧਸੰਗਤਿ ਕੈ ਆਸਰੈ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਸਿਉ ਰੰਗੁ ਲਾਏ ॥ Saaḋʰsangaṫ kæ aasræ parabʰ si▫o rang laa▫é. With the support of the Saadh Sangat, the Company of the Holy, one falls in love with God. ਅਉਗਣ ਕਟਿ ਮੁਖੁ ਉਜਲਾ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮਿ ਤਰਾਏ ॥ A▫ugaṇ kat mukʰ ujlaa har naam ṫaraa▫é. one’s faults are eradicated, and one’s face becomes radiant and bright; through the Lord’s Name, one crosses over. ਜਨਮ ਮਰਣ ਭਉ ਕਟਿਓਨੁ ਫਿਰਿ ਜੋਨਿ ਨ ਪਾਏ ॥ Janam maraṇ bʰa▫o kati▫on fir jon na paa▫é. The fear of birth and death is removed, and he is not reincarnated again. ਅੰਧ ਕੂਪ ਤੇ ਕਾਢਿਅਨੁ ਲੜੁ ਆਪਿ ਫੜਾਏ ॥ Anḋʰ koop ṫé kaadʰi▫an laṛ aap faṛaa▫é. God lifts him up and pulls him out of the deep, dark pit, and attaches him to the hem of His robe. ਨਾਨਕ ਬਖਸਿ ਮਿਲਾਇਅਨੁ ਰਖੇ ਗਲਿ ਲਾਏ ॥੨੧॥ Naanak bakʰas milaa▫i▫an rakʰé gal laa▫é. ||21|| O Nanak! God forgives him, and holds him close in His embrace. ||21|| ਸਲੋਕ ਮਃ ੫ ॥ Salok mėhlaa 5. Shalok, Fifth Mehl: ਮੁਹਬਤਿ ਜਿਸੁ ਖੁਦਾਇ ਦੀ ਰਤਾ ਰੰਗਿ ਚਲੂਲਿ ॥ Muhabaṫ jis kʰuḋaa▫é ḋee raṫaa rang chalool. One who loves God is imbued with the deep crimson color of His love. ਨਾਨਕ ਵਿਰਲੇ ਪਾਈਅਹਿ ਤਿਸੁ ਜਨ ਕੀਮ ਨ ਮੂਲਿ ॥੧॥ Naanak virlé paa▫ee▫ah ṫis jan keem na mool. ||1|| O Nanak! Such a person is rarely found; the value of such a humble person can never be estimated. ||1|| ਮਃ ੫ ॥ Mėhlaa 5. Fifth Mehl: ਅੰਦਰੁ ਵਿਧਾ ਸਚਿ ਨਾਇ ਬਾਹਰਿ ਭੀ ਸਚੁ ਡਿਠੋਮਿ ॥ Anḋar viḋʰaa sach naa▫é baahar bʰee sach ditʰom. The True Name has pierced the nucleus of myself deep within. Outside, I see the True Lord as well. ਨਾਨਕ ਰਵਿਆ ਹਭ ਥਾਇ ਵਣਿ ਤ੍ਰਿਣਿ ਤ੍ਰਿਭਵਣਿ ਰੋਮਿ ॥੨॥ Naanak ravi▫aa habʰ ṫʰaa▫é vaṇ ṫariṇ ṫaribʰavaṇ rom. ||2|| O Nanak! He is pervading and permeating all places, the forests and the meadows, the three worlds, and every hair. ||2|| ਪਉੜੀ ॥ Pa▫oṛee. Pauree: ਆਪੇ ਕੀਤੋ ਰਚਨੁ ਆਪੇ ਹੀ ਰਤਿਆ ॥ Aapé keeṫo rachan aapé hee raṫi▫aa. He Himself created the Universe; He Himself imbues it. ਆਪੇ ਹੋਇਓ ਇਕੁ ਆਪੇ ਬਹੁ ਭਤਿਆ ॥ Aapé ho▫i▫o ik aapé baho bʰaṫi▫aa. He Himself is One, and He Himself has numerous forms. ਆਪੇ ਸਭਨਾ ਮੰਝਿ ਆਪੇ ਬਾਹਰਾ ॥ Aapé sabʰnaa manjʰ aapé baahraa. He Himself is within all, and He Himself is beyond them. ਆਪੇ ਜਾਣਹਿ ਦੂਰਿ ਆਪੇ ਹੀ ਜਾਹਰਾ ॥ Aapé jaaṇėh ḋoor aapé hee jaahraa. He Himself is known to be far away, and He Himself is right here. ਆਪੇ ਹੋਵਹਿ ਗੁਪਤੁ ਆਪੇ ਪਰਗਟੀਐ ॥ Aapé hovėh gupaṫ aapé pargatee▫æ. He Himself is hidden, and He Himself is revealed. ਕੀਮਤਿ ਕਿਸੈ ਨ ਪਾਇ ਤੇਰੀ ਥਟੀਐ ॥ Keemaṫ kisæ na paa▫é ṫéree ṫʰatee▫æ. No one can estimate the value of Your Creation, Lord. ਗਹਿਰ ਗੰਭੀਰੁ ਅਥਾਹੁ ਅਪਾਰੁ ਅਗਣਤੁ ਤੂੰ ॥ Gahir gambʰeer aṫʰaahu apaar agṇaṫ ṫooⁿ. You are deep and profound, unfathomable, infinite and invaluable. ਨਾਨਕ ਵਰਤੈ ਇਕੁ ਇਕੋ ਇਕੁ ਤੂੰ ॥੨੨॥੧॥੨॥ ਸੁਧੁ ॥ Naanak varṫæ ik iko ik ṫooⁿ. ||22||1||2|| suḋʰ. O Nanak! The One Lord is all-pervading. You are the One and only. ||22||1||2|| Sudh|| ਰਾਮਕਲੀ ਕੀ ਵਾਰ ਰਾਇ ਬਲਵੰਡਿ ਤਥਾ ਸਤੈ ਡੂਮਿ ਆਖੀ Raamkalee kee vaar raa▫é Balvand ṫaṫʰaa Saṫæ doom aakʰee Vaar Of Raamkalee, Uttered By Satta And Balwand The Drummer: ੴ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਪ੍ਰਸਾਦਿ ॥ Ik▫oaⁿkaar saṫgur parsaaḋ. One Universal Creator God. By The Grace Of The True Guru: ਨਾਉ ਕਰਤਾ ਕਾਦਰੁ ਕਰੇ ਕਿਉ ਬੋਲੁ ਹੋਵੈ ਜੋਖੀਵਦੈ ॥ Naa▫o karṫaa kaaḋar karé ki▫o bol hovæ jokʰeevaḋæ. One who chants the Name of the Almighty Creator - how can his words be judged? ਦੇ ਗੁਨਾ ਸਤਿ ਭੈਣ ਭਰਾਵ ਹੈ ਪਾਰੰਗਤਿ ਦਾਨੁ ਪੜੀਵਦੈ ॥ Ḋé gunaa saṫ bʰæṇ bʰaraav hæ paarangaṫ ḋaan paṛeevaḋæ. His divine virtues are the true sisters and brothers; through them, the gift of supreme-status is obtained. ਨਾਨਕਿ ਰਾਜੁ ਚਲਾਇਆ ਸਚੁ ਕੋਟੁ ਸਤਾਣੀ ਨੀਵ ਦੈ ॥ Naanak raaj chalaa▫i▫aa sach kot saṫaaṇee neev ḋæ. Nanak established the kingdom; He built the true fortress on the strongest foundations. ਲਹਣੇ ਧਰਿਓਨੁ ਛਤੁ ਸਿਰਿ ਕਰਿ ਸਿਫਤੀ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤੁ ਪੀਵਦੈ ॥ Lahṇé ḋʰari▫on chʰaṫ sir kar sifṫee amriṫ peevḋæ. He installed the royal canopy over Lehna’s head; chanting the Lord’s Praises, He drank in the Ambrosial Nectar. ਮਤਿ ਗੁਰ ਆਤਮ ਦੇਵ ਦੀ ਖੜਗਿ ਜੋਰਿ ਪਰਾਕੁਇ ਜੀਅ ਦੈ ॥ Maṫ gur aaṫam ḋév ḋee kʰaṛag jor puraaku▫é jee▫a ḋæ. The Guru implanted the almighty sword of the Teachings to illuminate his soul. ਗੁਰਿ ਚੇਲੇ ਰਹਰਾਸਿ ਕੀਈ ਨਾਨਕਿ ਸਲਾਮਤਿ ਥੀਵਦੈ ॥ Gur chélé rahraas kee▫ee Naanak salaamaṫ ṫʰeevḋæ. The Guru bowed down to His disciple, while Nanak was still alive. ਸਹਿ ਟਿਕਾ ਦਿਤੋਸੁ ਜੀਵਦੈ ॥੧॥ Sėh tikaa ḋiṫos jeevḋæ. ||1|| The King, while still alive, applied the ceremonial mark to his forehead. ||1|| ਲਹਣੇ ਦੀ ਫੇਰਾਈਐ ਨਾਨਕਾ ਦੋਹੀ ਖਟੀਐ ॥ Lahṇé ḋee féraa▫ee▫æ naankaa ḋohee kʰatee▫æ. Nanak proclaimed Lehna’s succession - he earned it. ਜੋਤਿ ਓਹਾ ਜੁਗਤਿ ਸਾਇ ਸਹਿ ਕਾਇਆ ਫੇਰਿ ਪਲਟੀਐ ॥ Joṫ ohaa jugaṫ saa▫é sėh kaa▫i▫aa fér paltee▫æ. They shared the One Light and the same way; the King just changed His body. ਝੁਲੈ ਸੁ ਛਤੁ ਨਿਰੰਜਨੀ ਮਲਿ ਤਖਤੁ ਬੈਠਾ ਗੁਰ ਹਟੀਐ ॥ Jʰulæ so chʰaṫ niranjanee mal ṫakʰaṫ bætʰaa gur hatee▫æ. The immaculate canopy waves over Him, and He sits on the throne in the Guru’s shop. ਕਰਹਿ ਜਿ ਗੁਰ ਫੁਰਮਾਇਆ ਸਿਲ ਜੋਗੁ ਅਲੂਣੀ ਚਟੀਐ ॥ Karahi jė gur furmaa▫i▫aa sil jog alooṇee chatee▫æ. He does as the Guru commands; He tasted the tasteless stone of Yoga. |
